Hell, this is how PC games should of been in 2015. Why dont we have the in-game graphics options to have graphics like that in todays games ??

This should also be a nice GPU benchmark.

That looks great. GTA5 already looked good before, though. Gonna be a real killer on my GPU now.

You're lolling, but other mods did the same for gta 4.
Dont really care, I wasn't playing gta 5 without a mod like this ever. So I'm happy now and more willing to pay to make this work. This is what I want....

I want to just hire a small studio of modders/devs and make real games for pc rather than what comes out now.... Or just make a game, sell it, and ensure its as mod friendly as humans possible to let moders make my game beautiful, and provide those mods in my site so that they never are taken down/disappear.

Shoot, devs don't need to make textures for games or high res ones. Realistically, we the community should be able to submit better textures to be implemented in the game lol..

Way, way too dark. Has this person ever stood outside in LA on a sunny day? Because it doesn't look like this:

That's literally the brightest shot in the stream. If that's supposed to represent daytime conditions, back to the drawing board. The nighttime shots in the rain look great, but that's so infrequent in this game as to be meaningless as a representative sample of graphical quality.

It's also blurred like crazy with massive amounts of DoF. Quite frankly it looks worse than the base game.

To me that looks like someone tried to emulate what VHS or DVD video looks like. It's blurry, dark and way too much depth of field. You can also tell the developer wants to show as few NPCs as possible as they are cartoonish by design in GTA V.

These "makes GTA look realistic" mods pop up in news all the time but most of the time what we get is something that looks overcontrasted in screenshots (essentially the "colors pop supersharpened TV preset" you see on every TV in electronic stores) and absolutely horrible in motion and becomes unplayable during the night because everything is so dark. SweetFx Settings Database is full of configurations that produce this kind of effect for both GTA IV and V so I guess there's still lots of people who for some reason like this.

I do believe that ReShade/SweetFx is a great thing to add on your GTA V PC but it should be only used to lightly enhanced what is already a really good looking game. My config (based on http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/3571/ but with adjusted sharpness and less orange tint) is setup so that it essentially removes the "haze" that the original game has over anything and slightly changes the color palette and applies a subtle sharpening effect that helps clean up the TXAA 2x + MFAA settings I use.

Funny, I didn't realize this took place in Los Angeles - I thought it was a fictional world that mocked real-world locations...

Aside from that, the video of it in action is striking. Mostly it's the reflections that look so good, reminds me of those ray-traced demos from a few years back. Issues with darkness stem entirely from the abomination that is HDR. HDR is great for artistic screenshots, but terrible for actual gameplay. If something is too bright or too dark, our eyes will naturally try to resolve it, you don't need a synthetic middleman. The same goes for focal blur. So much wasted compute power that could be used to make better lighting engines or better reflections and shadows...

It's a fictional city called Los Santos which is modeled loosely off Los Angeles.

The mod looks really nice in places, but then so does the base GTAV game with some really epic Vistas when you have the settings up high, I'm enjoying it at 4k and don't have the performance headroom for graphical mods and given the difference in quality I've been tending to prefer 4k over things like extra DoF effects. In fact any heavy post processing effects tend to bug me, especially motion blur.
