Those seem fake.

the XTX isn't any better than the x19 according to those tests.

Looks like the massive pre-NDA release leaks have begun.

Here's a picture showing the HIS HD2900XT retail package and everything it contains.

Suggests bad testing or driver issues. Driver issues are entirely possible.
It also outscores everything else in other tests, so a few games where it's pretty bad doesn't seem too unreasonable.
Although the high res/AA drop-off seems pretty high compared to the X1900's and what you would expect from a card with a hefty increase in memory bandwidth.

Very irregular numbers--performs just below an 8800gtx in a few games but worse than an x1900xtx crossfire in many, and worse than an x1950xtx in a few.

Good find though Creig!

What the hell does THAT mean?

Beats me. You'd think that if they were THAT worried about getting sued they'd keep the article on their personal computer until Monday instead of uploading it to their website.

Weird.

I have it all opened in tabs. But none of the images were loading past page 11 so I can't see the 3DMark03, 3DMark05, Power Consumption & Overclocking Charts (images).

Hold on, I will post the results.

That looks horrible for a card with 312 shader units, 512 bit memory interface, 735 core clock and many more... do we have to panic yet. i will wait for anadtech reviews to come out. there should be something better in this card :brokenheart:

Jeez... those are some bad numbers. This is like when Nvidia released their FX series... AMD is in some trouble it seems unless a driver can fix those numbers, which i doubt. Better hope the Barcelona can work wonders

Anyone notice the inconsistencies being the norm & the performance being poor the norm in all these "fake" reviews.

I don't think any of the reviews are fake...the HD 2900s are just a bust overall.

Only saving grace will be how they're priced...

Or if they're not well priced...then i foresee disaster.

I am already realizing i'm going to likely have to get an 8800 GTX
I can't wait to get back to the shi!t that is nV's drivers...not :(

True. It's just that we are all unwilling to accept less-than-1337 numbers so we keep pretending the numbers are fake.

I can see Far Cry being a driver issue but the rest seem in-line.

Yep- add in high temps and high power draw and this doesn't look so good. Also being this late to market I hope peeps wait for the 65nm refresh/tweaked design? before buying a high end card right now.

I fear I will be one of the suckers who buys a HD2900XT, only to have the 65nm version come out in 2 months.

Is that a DVI-to-HDMI adapter I see (that black adapter)? Didn't know such a thing existed.
