you want techno?

infact if you want any type of electronic music such as techno, tech house, house, funky house, hard house, break beat etc then there is simply no better way to listen to it than to listen to live recordings

hit up torrent sites or P2P and search for

carl cox, jeff mills, sven vath, eric morillo, danny rampling, plump dj's, sander kleinenberg, westbam, frankie knuckles, seb fontain, futureshock.... those arent even the tip of the ice berg of good techno and house dj's. porter tinsley is another good dj though i dunno if you can get any of her live stuff

listen to online radio too.... www.thewomb.com is a good place and its got video feed (or did have)

piraterevival.co.uk is another if u like the old school days.

perhaps the best is to get yourself over to www.bbc.co.uk/radio1 and use the listen again feature.....find the essential mix in the listen again box and listen away. the essential mixes are generally broadcast live, though sometimes you will find they are broadcasting a recording of a live event.

for your info the essential mix is 2 hours of non-stop (the BBC's TV and radio are advert free) music from the best dj's in the world. every week its a new or different dj and the range of styles is extremely diverse, its a good place to listen out for things you like. the essential mix goes from 12am till 2am london time (though once its aired you can re-listen at any time using the listen again featue), and used to be followed up by the guys from the dreem teem who presented a show called soulful sessions, its no longer broadcast now but that was THE best after hours show ever the quality of the music was just impossibly good.
