Techno songs you think kick @$$!

I have some authored by an ex who's getting exposure. And they do kick a**. But God knows what suffering it would be to mention the album and name of author. Perhaps someone will eventually mention it.

I hate people who say all this stuff is the same and that bull$hit. I can tell probably 50% of all Trance/House etc songs from about the first 5 seconds, and I'm not kidding! There are so many differences.

Darude, Cosmic Gate, Scooter, Prodigy, Chemical Brother (mixes), Junkie XL, Orbital, Oakenfold, Robert Miles, Santos, Hatiras, Faithless, Lasgo (similar to Ian Van Dahl), 4 Strings, Paul Van ***, ATB, Kernkraft 400, 666, DJ Jonah, Salt Tank, York, Planet Perfecto, Yomanda, Lucid, Lucid, Sash!, techno remixes of classical songs, Orbital, 808 State, Lock 'n' Load, Highgate, Ratty etc etc.

What about Aphex Twin - Hot Butter Popcorn. Sooo cool.

Can anyone tell me the difference between Techno/Trance/Jungle/House/Electronica/Bass/etc/etc...I need to expand my mind.

ATB
The Cynic Prject (hard to find songs)
BT
Faithless
Anything on the Trance Nation CDs

I have both of those Clubber's Guide to Trance CDs, and they are both labeled ATB. I don't think thats right though.

All of "The Cynic Project" 'cause his music just rocks

Hey, The Cynic throws down some good melodic trance.... mp3.com is how I was first really introduced to electronica. I'm sure you'd also like most cds by Matt Darey, Geoge Acosta, Paul van Dyk, DJ Tiesto.... and guys, if you haaave to bring up Oakenfold so much, at least recommend his good albums. Another World is top notch... it's hard to give him much respect though, he's comin to town in a couple of weeks... only $40 (presale!) for one big name. I swear to god that guy spends a whole lot more time nowadays practicing his sexy pose than throwin down decent beats.

I have never listened to techno. Usually heavy metal is all I listen to. But I have downloaded some of the stuff mentioned in this thread and I am enjoying it quite a bit. Thanks for the ideas.

Alright, finally a thread I made is popular! Well I compiled a list of of the songs you guys/girls listed and am working on getting them thru WinMX. When I said "Techno" I'm basically reffering to Electronika type music.

Various remixes of Paul Oakenfold's "Southern Sun" are my fave.

Been listening to stuff lately by "Way Out West" that is pretty good too...

Ferry Corsten's version of "The Gift"
Gabriel & Dresden's version of "Mindcircus"
Way Out West's version of "The Fall"
