the only good thing about that setup is that it is using actual SNES controllers.

what is being done there could be done 10+ years ago on an OG xbox, but you would have to use xbox controllers, which blew.

well, it's cute, but i had my fill of MAME long ago and it's lost its charm.

Should have kept my Sega Dreamcast, would've made an interesting mini-PC- then again the SuperH3 processor had potential (ran a boostrap of NetBSD on it and surfed the web and chat on IRC).

I considered taking a console and making an emulation station out of it but instead made an small arcade cabinet for MAME and Neo Geo games. Used a 17" 4:9 monitor, ITX board setup and Hori joystick/buttons.
