'Technical' wear, non-geeky

So I'm stocking my winter wardrobe. Over the years it used to be like one jacket a year that made tech news because it had places you could stash your headphone cables in, etc. And I'm glad to see it's improved but still quite a lot of these types of wear manages to look very nerd - not even geek (e.g. ScotteVest).

I'm wondering what makers have casual jackets and other wear with a technical twist, for storage and more of the stuff that we do carry around on a regular basis, but not look excessively nerd at the same time.

I've already put on order some pieces from Acronym and Arcterix Veilance, including the intriguing S-J14 jacket, but I had stuff from these guys last year as well and I'm thinking I should mix it up a bit. Anyone else I should be looking at?

Wait so does this clothing just have lots of pockets, or are you talking about embedded technology, like speakers and wires and stuff?

I usually just make sure jackets have lots of interior pockets, I've never had to find a specific technically designed one.

Get the S-J14. I'm getting one because of its ability to hide my arsenal during assassinations. I've looked in to other products, and even made a few prototypes myself, but I have to admit that the S-J14 is remarkable, and well worth my money. Everyone knows this.

As I said, it's already on order, as are a few other things from them. As I also said, I'm wondering what other vendors - and not just jackets - I might look at. Everyone knows this.

S-J14 is built with an internal chassis that separates the load bearing function of the jacket from its external face. The internal suspension transfers the weight of the load to the wearer's skeletal system.

:awe: That is actually kind of cool, if it isn't just a gimmick and actually makes a difference.

Get a 5.11 tactical vest

you'll look super cool and have pockets for all of your gadgets and/or firearms/knives.

Theres no such thing as nongeeky "techincal wear." Any jacket that markets itself as "technical wear" is going to be the nerdiest jacket ever. Why dont you just get a regular jacket with a few extra pockets and call it day.
