Tech Gifts for Groomsman

Seeking the collective wisdom of ATOT (Very dangerous, I know)

Getting married next month and I'm trying to come up with gift ideas for my 3 groomsman. Would like to do something tech related, but I'm having a hell of a time coming up with anything. Trying to stay around $100 - $150 (each).

Ideas?

I just participated in a recent wedding as a groomsman, the groom got me a raspeberry pi - thought it was a very thoughtful and unique gift idea. 🙂 Assuming your groomsmen do not already have one...

I like this idea. You could even make a case, and preload it with software if you were so inclined.

That would be pretty cool to play with. I remember for one wedding, I got a cigar cutter. The groom knew that I didn't smoke and gave it to me anyway. Uhhh.... thanks? Talk about useless. I don't even know where that piece of crap is anymore.

It's not a tech gift, but I got a leatherman juice or something one time. It's pretty handy to toss in my backpack or car. It's better than another personalized mug, wallet, or money clip.

Not really that techy of a gift, but one of the gifts I got my 4 groomsmen was a nice digital photo frame for each one of them and loaded them up with pictures of all of us guys throughout the years (we've all been friends since junior high). I think they all really liked the gift.

Beat me to it... Thought of this when I saw the thread title. An Arduino board would be good, too.

Solar powered micro usb phone rechargers.

Downside is some of them are dirt cheap and thus not really worthy of gifting. Maybe there's a deluxe version that's also a flash drive/bottle opener?

damn, I should patent that.

Thanks for all the ideas so far, but clearly this is the winner:

Thanks, those are both with my real price range. Will keep an eye on them. Is there any idea at all on the ship date for the Ouya?

I like the idea of the pi, and one of them is a programmer at a game company, but I'm not sure the other two would like it...Maybe a separate gift for each?

Thanks for all the ideas so far. Keep em rollin' in

Not sure how I missed this yesterday, but a good idea even if not techie.

Does he have any iDevices? Get him an Apple TV. AirPlay and AirPlay mirroring (A5 or better processor) is great.

All of us are firmly in the Android court.

The last wedding I went to (for techies), the best man got a GTX 6xx video card. I was jealous.

I would love to get something like this for each of them. They could all put it to good use, that is just a LOT to spend on a gift.
