Tech Culture Magazines. the good bad and the ugly.

The Good: Wired
This is just a really classy high quality magazine all around. From the heavy paper to the beautiful design, it continues to impress me every month. The articles aren't too dumbed-down and it has a good mix of tech toys and insightful articles.
The Bad: PC Magazine
I used to have a subscription but it just got worse and worse every month. At some point they decided to target their articles at the clueless middle-manager who wants to appear 'on-the-ball' with technical subjects. The only point of light is Dvorak's two columns, but that is not enough to salvage this magazine.
The Ugly: Yahoo in Life
I admit that I have always disliked Yahoo, but I tried to give this magazine a fair shake. The first thing that hit me is how horrible the layout was. I couldn't tell where one section ended and another began. It looked to be designed by an 8 year old suffering from ADD without his Ritalin fix. The articles weren't much better, featuring in depth articles like, I kid you not. "How to burn a CD".
So, what do you think?

MIT Technology Review and IEEE Spectrum own those 3 imo

I don't really think those would fall under the heading of "Tech Culture", but I am sure they're good too. 🙂
