I just noticed that the stock i7 920 is much faster than stock i5 750, looks like the superior memory bandwidth of i7 pays off on certain tasks.

and i5 is quicker than Q9550. That Athlon II X2 240 has good numbers considering how cheap the cpu is (and only being a dual core)(edit: just realized that his is at 3.78GHz, make me feel a lot better :)). Fry's had that with a motherboard for $40 today! Can someone post their Phenom II scores at stock please?

i have a 940BE and a 720BE unlocked, would you like both 2.8 and 3ghz ran?

i would like to see some phenom II's with DDR3, interested to see how big of a role RAM speed is in this bench.

Here's one. Unlocked X2 550. Not the fastest thing out but it has to be up there in terms of FPS/$.

Looks to be about 3% faster than the identically clocked X4 965 with DDR2 in the OP.
Edit: but almost exactly the same as your 940 with DDR2? Who knows :p
