Anyone else get the note from Mazda regarding a special gift available next month for driving the new Miata?

Wonder what the gift is?

Freebies for test drives have long been welcomed on "Hot Deals" and I don't see how this one is any different. Many of us previously requested brochures from Mazda and this email teaser appears to be a followup to that, promising some sort of "gift deal."

Maybe it will turn out to be a Hot Deal, and maybe it won't, but IVO of previously accepted alerts along the lines of "Watch your email/snail mail for a good deal from ... " I see no reason to jump on this poster.

If Anandtech has any shortcoming, it is an over-population of "List Police;" IMNSHO, we have some pretty good moderators here who handle that thankless chore pretty well without the constant denigration of posters who do not, in some folk's minds, meet some standard of "Hotness."
