Man this thread almost brought me to tears I can feel them welling up in my eyes. I got my fiance a lovebird last year for christmas. I couldn't ever imagine something bad happening to him it would just crush me. I can't imagine the little guy not being here anymore. I understand what you are saying about the house being so quiet. I know that when we are out of town and have him stay with one of our parents while we are away that the house is really quiet and very uncomfortable. I feel your loss and I'm sorry about the loss of your friend.

RIP :(

Goosemaster, I'm terribly sorry to learn about the loss of your little bird. I just saw the video of Lupita and was really touched by it. She really is singing away! I can't say I've ever seen anything quite like it. Amazing.

As an aside, I have a male cockatiel named Sherman who is a spitting image of Lupita. I've had him for 16 years now and he's a great companion. While I love him to death, he's always been an ornery and crotchety old thing, not nearly as sweet as Lupita. I gave up long ago in trying to hand train him, but we have conversations all the time and I appreciate him being around. I love it in the morning when he sings in his cage. I'll appreciate it even more now after reading your story.

Time does heal all wounds and you'll be back in no time at all. While it may not be time yet for another bird, here's to hoping there will be another little cockatiel filling your home with songs of joy in the future.

Maybe if its an outdoor cat. I have a 15 yr old cat =\ she is almost blind but still gets around.

Sorry for your loss, the video of her singing was great.

sorry to hear about your loss, i suggest you RMA your dad, and request they check his "check where i'm sitting down" ability.

Hope something comes along and makes you feel better soon, cheers.
