tear in the space-time continuum?

It'll be close at the end, just based on the history of the season. I've stopped watching the game though. This series is so backwards though.

Auburn leads: 53-48-8

at Auburn: Georgia leads 12-9-2
at Athens: Auburn leads 18-9

IIRC, the total score of the series is only a difference of a couple points.

If Auburn loses this game, the season is done.

Auburn won't be coming back. Our QB has been hurt since the first drive of the game, and for some odd reason Tuberville refuses to replace him. Every ball he throws is with a grimace and he is underthrowing every ball. He's 2/7 for 7 yards and FOUR INTERCEPTIONS.

Yeah, our season is done.

so much for that comeback

Heh, I knew there was no comeback happening by the 2nd quarter.

Edit: It's pretty sad when I consider a potential 10-2 season a failure, but I do.

Hahahaha nice excuse Mill. How about that vaunted "defense"? Over 200 yards passing for Stafford and 100+ yards rushing for Lumpkin, hahaha at home too. This year, you can't say SEC without the words overrated in the same sentence.

While I am no college football expert, I was under the impression that the SEC is considered one of the harder groups to play in b/c there are so many competitive teams that even the best will always end up with a few losses at the end.

I could be way off though....I don't really care since I go to Vandy and our team has pretty much sucked every year I have been here. Maybe that is why our games are more social events than standard college games, heh.

Yeah traditionally the SEC has been very good. This year it's pure weaksauce, the only team that is semi impressive has been Arkansas IMO. UGA and Auburn have both been huge disappointments (after today).

I haven't done a bit of smack talking about Auburn. So, I'm not sure why you are trying to put words in my mouth. I have repeatedly said I thought Auburn didn't deserve to play for the title, but that they would be more deserving than a Big East team. As late as a few weeks ago I said Auburn had been playing very poorly, and I never expected them to win out.

I've never made claims of our "vaunted defense." They've played soft all year and have been unable to stop the run.

The SEC is not overrated. There is a lot of parity in the conference. They are not top heavy like the Big East.

You are completely clueless, you must have been down to Wheeling and drinking the water. The strength of a conference is determined by how competetive it is amongst each other, you can't beat the SEC like that. Like I said earlier, after Louisville & WVU, who does the Big East have (besides the flash-in-the-pan Rutgers)?

As a Razorback fan, "Thank you Georgia". But all in all, the SEC is a tough conference to play in. Every week you have to be on your toes, or you'll get beat. I mean.. look at Kentucky.. they became bowl eligible today; they beat Vandy, who hung around with Michigan.

Last week, while watching South Carolina & Arkansas, I was quite worried that SC would come back and win that one. Mitchell (QB) can throw the ball and has some touch.

Exactly, they have no "top teams". They all beat each other. Parity doesn't mean your conference isn't overhyped by the media.

If you're going to name drop Louisville, then how can you leave out Rutgers? It's not like UL was good before last year earlier, lol. BTW I'm not the chump trying to defend an overrated conference, you are.
