It would definitely be interesting to see a rematch of tOSU and Michigan in the BCS Championship game if it came to that. If we assume Michigan loses to tOSU on 11/18, that means there are two teams that lost to tOSU (Texas being the other one).Originally posted by: mpitts
So, let's recap:
Michigan kills Indiana
OSU kills Northwestern
Louisville loses
Auburn loses
Florida barely beats a 5-4 South Carolina team at home
Cal loses
Most people in the nation believe that Michigan and OSU are the two best teams in the country. If they play a close game next Saturday, how can that perception change?
I wanted Florida to lose so badly.Originally posted by: sash1
wtf is up with college ball today? some awesome games, but damn, Auburn and Cal blow it and Florida came SOO close. Blocking the XP was key, the kick looked off to begin with even before it was blocked.

Exactly, they have no "top teams". They all beat each other. Parity doesn't mean your conference isn't overhyped by the media.Originally posted by: Mill

Hahahaha nice excuse Mill. How about that vaunted "defense"? Over 200 yards passing for Stafford and 100+ yards rushing for Lumpkin, hahaha at home too. This year, you can't say SEC without the words overrated in the same sentence.Originally posted by: Mill
Auburn won't be coming back. Our QB has been hurt since the first drive of the game, and for some odd reason Tuberville refuses to replace him. Every ball he throws is with a grimace and he is underthrowing every ball. He's 2/7 for 7 yards and FOUR INTERCEPTIONS.
I haven't done a bit of smack talking about Auburn. So, I'm not sure why you are trying to put words in my mouth. I have repeatedly said I thought Auburn didn't deserve to play for the title, but that they would be more deserving than a Big East team. As late as a few weeks ago I said Auburn had been playing very poorly, and I never expected them to win out.
I've never made claims of our "vaunted defense." They've played soft all year and have been unable to stop the run.
The SEC is not overrated. There is a lot of parity in the conference. They are not top heavy like the Big East.
