they already had to after losing to yugoslavia. they have to play in the pan am games. spain will be there, if they dont win the gold apparently at the pan am games, they dont even get to go to the olympics.
 
Well, someone in the other thread DID say that bad news comes in threes...I guess they were right.

Sucks though...these guys get paid MILLIONS to play basketball and they can't even beat SPAIN?? Three losses in a row??? Pfffffffffffff, who the hell where the US's starters?

So do the other guys they were playing.......Most of the good team USA players IE Shaq, kobe and so on didnt want to come to this tourney.
 
meh, no big deal... so we lost... it's not like we have the earth shaking names out on the court like Kobe Bryant, Shaq, Allen Iverson, Tim Duncan, Jason Kidd. There is no dispute which country has the best basketball players in it. We just didn't send them to this particular event. Why everyone is up in arms is beyond me.
