I must be retared but I can't find it ...whats AT's protein folding team number when it asks on install

lol I had a hard time finding the team number too.

Maybe the first thing on the page should be the team number.

Did both of you look in the "Welcome to the Distributed Computing Forum" thread for the number?
GLeeM includes it in each days stats thread but maybe we should add the team number there too?

I see a few other things that could use updating.

It's in my step-by-step install guide as well. 🙂

To all I think my comps are not cooperating with one another.

While I was folding on laptop today it said working on p1808_collagen_Brodsky 450/500 completed

and at the same time my desktop said working on p1808_collagen_Brodsky 31/500 completed

Two questions

1. Why are they working on same work unit?
2. Why arn't they complementary? 450/500 on one and 31/500 on the other....seems like they are working on same thing independantly? Is'nt that redundant and wasteful?

Thanks

p1808 is actually the project 🙂 they have thosands of different workunits for project so your laptop and desktop really should be working independanty, b/c they are actually working on different peices of the project even though the description is the same

Each work unit (WU) has a project number, and run, clone, gen numbers to distinguish that each is a different WU. LIke this:

Project: 1808 (Run 3, Clone 341, Gen 33)

You can see it in FAHlog.txt

If one of the numbers is different then the WUs are different.

450/500 means that it has finished 450 of 500 steps(?). You are almost done!
