Oktoberfest!!

Medic is still my favourite by far. It was the second class I every really played and just had so much fun with it that I never really turned back. I also think I am relatively decent at Medic which helps.

After that it's a tie between about 4 other classes, but it depends on the map I'm playing and what the make-up of my team is at the time.

I probably play Medic the most because with a good partner, you can really turn the game. However, without a good partner, being a medic can be really boring. Spy is probably my second favorite, I just feel like there are more close calls and small tricks that make it fun to play.

Pyro and medic although much less so since they added the unlockables and every monkey out there is playing the class.

An uber pyro used to make defenses literally panic and fold. Now everyone is so used to them you don't get the added psychological reaction that is so deadly.

Engineer is challenging, demo too.

Soldier is a bit boring as is heavy. I suck at spy and don't have the patience. Sniper...I have no idea if I suck or not. I'm a good "railgunner" but just have no interest in this game.

Demoman. I think they're overpowered honestly. Even with the reduced carrying capacity.

I use them in an offensive fashion, not defensive. You can use stickies to effectively grab territory.....reload, blow them, and repeat until they're pinned. They also have the only weapon that can go around corners or over objects and it happens to be a bomb.

Also, case in point. I was on the stacked team the other night and the other team started goofing off, knowing they'd lose anyway, by playing all as one class. They got owned every round....including when they went as pyros....except the round where they played as demos. They actually quickly pushed us back to our final cap point. I had gone scout by then to counter them and single-handedly saved our cap point by taking out three of them trying to get to the cap point solo. A few people switched classes and we pushed them back and ultimately won, but it confirmed my feelings about demo.

So, ya, I play them cause I cut an unholy swath or carnage with them and do it in relative safety. But they're increasing in popularity and I am not looking forward to when they get their achievements and unlockables and more people realize how powerful they are.

Spy

has the greatest variety of all the classes

some Demonmen are pretty impressive in their play ability (this only applies to player's that can effectively use Demomen offensively)

Engineer. Funnest, best supporting class, yet difficult and fun. I have the most hours logged into it. Nothing beats putting a gun up where no one expects it, and mowing a bunch of people (including repeat customers) down. I've noticed that most engineers can't accept the fact that their gun will die, and always put their dispensers next to their sentry regardless.

Demoman. Easiest class. Just spam and wait for the kills to flood in. Get bored? Play defense with stickies or go sentry gun hunting. Or start launching ubers across the map.

Pyro. You set people on fire, how could that not be fun;). I was laughing the entire time last yesterday on goldrush as I kept flaming down groups going for the second floor of the building. I laughed like hell when I flamed-axed a few heavies.

Spy... Mainly because they can one hit anyone easily. :D It's one of the most difficult classes as well. :( Especially with a pyro happy family.

I'll be the first one to say Scout. Everything else feels too slow for me.

When a Scout's not beneficial to the team I usually play Soldier. (Yes, I know that runs completely counter to what I like about the Scout.)

Sniper, because I love it when people are shocked that a sniper is leading the scoreboard. Headshots = 2 points after all :D It's a great offensive and defensive class, if you know what you're doing. Gates open in Gold Rush - bam, red sniper is dead, bam medic healing heavy with yet-deployed uber is dead, then the heavy, and then take out the engineers so we can get those sentries down.

Second fav is pyro, especially with the new weapons. When I play on servers with alltalk on, people get really pissed when I can kill them so easily with the axtinguisher when they are on fire :D

The only class I don't like is spy. Sometimes I'll do it just because no one else is and it really makes it easier on the rest of the team to take down SGs when a sentry is sapped.

Soldier, easy to pick up and play, but also hard to master. It's one of the most straightforward classes, however, it does take some strategy and skill to plan where to land your shots and keeping up with the limited amount of shots you take. Plus there is nothing like giving people crit rockets in the face.

Two classes that I really suck at, but would love to master are the Spy and Demoman... I haven't played for a while, excuse me while I load TF2 back up :)

Demoman and soldier. It was pyro before the last update :(

I think that the reduced capacity was needed for the demoman but not the soldier

every class except for sniper. it's the by far the most boring class and it's only good for killing people from afar. I've seen so many teams lose because of snipers that won't push the cart/capture the point etc because they prefer sitting behind and killing people from afar.

Medic and engineer, followed by heavy and pyro. Demo is good for taking out sentries but other than that usually it just turns into a spamfest of nades which gets boring imo.

Erm... yeah, it's their job to stay away from melee/close-range combat, they are Snipers... 'ya know. That they are boring, absolutely understandable, but saying they should push the cart, get the intel and stand on every point to capture is far-fetched.

Meh, it's actually a rush when you've got good aim. Nothing like picking off the red team as they try to run to the cart to stop it from being pushed. And you know you've gotta get headshots because you don't have time to wait for the rifle to charge, all while being mindful of spies, rockets and demo spam.
I can't tell you how many times I've stood back on the ledge while my teammates are free to push the cart because no one can get near them.
