imo the old thread was a little too confusding for newbies, so i'll try to make this newbie oriented
first of all, what is Folding@Home?
As stated in this thread,
Folding@Home is a distributed computing project which studies protein folding, misfolding, aggregation, and related diseases. We use novel computational methods and large scale distributed computing, to simulate timescales thousands to millions of times longer than previously acheived. This has allowed us to simulate folding for the first time, and to now direct our approach to examine folding related disease.
as of recent events, we have been beaten by the Dutch Power Cows and now we're about to be overtaken by The Knights Who Say Ni! soon. 🙁
we need all your help so that we can push off the knights and then go and set our target to the DPC
interested to help? then go to this thread and follow the instructions there🙂
