It is getting very urgent that anyone who is interested in RC5 join now.

1) You'll be a member when the team becomes #1 in the world - great bragging rights

2) We need every bit of help we can get to hold the DPC off.

3) You could win money - $1,000

If you have not visited the Distributed Computing forum, I seriously suggest that you do so ASAP. We have a strong and active Search for Extraterrestial Inteligence (SETI) team going, and there is another serious math project going on - OGR.

You're wasting CPU cycles right now if you're reaing this message and not running one of the clients.

Hey Soccerman, I got an idea (a used one, but who cares).

Maybe you can post the amount of days its taking us to catch up to slashdot. Like someone here did back in the Evangelista days. I forgot who it was, but I always looked forward to his report on when we'll beat the Mac team.

Just an idea. 🙂

can do. I was one of the people doing that..

you know, I'm going to suggest to the star trek websites that they do something like this.. maybe I can get a few extra hundred people joinin our team? who knows!

when this thread dies, I'm going to wait a few days just so those anti-teamwork people don't get pissed off at these messages k?

Thanks Soccerman. We wish you stopped by the DC forums now and then. 🙂

Maybe you can get those trekkies to crack for the Federation. It's a TA mini team, battling TA Cube (A.K.A. The Borg 😉). 🙂

does anyone here actually go to other websites forums? like Thresh's Firingsquad or Toms hardware? if so, maybe you could put up a thread there! contact the makers of their websites, and ask them to put up some info on RC5, for the people who frequent there. maybe we can get them to join TA (maybe it shouldn't be TA anymore?)

Hmmm, I've been with TA for quite awhile now....doing about 3.5M/keys with my 1ghz Duron...how come most don't flush their blocks everyday?

Krish,

Most do flush every day. There are some with remote herds that lack net access that only flush when they can.

Oh....was checking out the RC5 prefs....says that it's recommended that dialup users have a large input....mine's using hours...set to 24*7, enough to keep the client busy for a week, that's 7656 work units for my duron (1ghz)...🙂

I'm cracking for TA RC-5, but there's not a whole lot I can do while I'm using a P-3 450 Katmai. If anyone has a spare slot 1 coppermine 750 MHz + I'd be grateful if they could send it to me right away 😀

Moooooooooo.. 🙂

Got my whole herd muching away at full blocks now, eating away at a rate of around 15,000 work units per day. Can't wait until I do my first big flush.......

I forgot to mention that I am going to my parents house later this week and I will try to convince them (Cel 433) and my brother (P2 350) to setup the client. Hopefully i can get them to help us out.
