Even worse, their forum software sucks inhales vigorously, I don't see how they keep track of anything unless they bookmark every thread of interest.
I'm wondering why they never switch to at least vBulletin. It's nothing more than extended comment section. No wonder they're having hard time in coordinating community event like this.

I thought Tom's was going to post about the race today too. But I don't see any post on their main page.

Either I haven't looked around enough or I just can't find it, but where are the number stats for the race? ATM, Free-DC seems to be out.

EDIT: I found them, all is well! :D

Well, it looks like the race is won. It was actually won at the start. No offense to Tom's, but as a team we probably ought to be picking on someone higher up the food chain.
Even with their own lab with its 11 video cards, they only added 5 million ppd. I should run their lab for them, I could have gotten 14 million ppd in one days time with that hardware. (with my additional 6 motherbord/CPU combos doing nothing. THey should have extras too ??) Both the users and the lab together are not even close to being in our league. 29 million ppd ? and we are doing 65 million ?????

Yes, they need to go back to school.

According to http://tastats.atspace.cc/ta-th-18/, it's 254 M to 120 M :
Code:
Team Starting Points Current Points Points Gained
TeAm AnandTech 18,038,848,450 18,293,197,153 254,348,703
Tom's Hardware 16,353,060,166 16,473,091,516 120,031,350

folding.rainwalk.net has matching "current points" in the 2018-03-16 10:45 update:
18,293,197,153 for us,
16,473,091,516 for them,
just like Ken's stats.

Guys, if you still haven't managed to get Linux GPU folding to work with nVidia cards, Ubuntu 18.04 was released a couple of days ago. After all the issues I had on previous releases, it's an absolute breeze getting it set up this time around!

Those of you familiar with my guide will find it updated here, but the tl;dr version is as follows, from a fresh install of 18.04 Desktop with the minimal installation option selected:

Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa
sudo apt update
sudo apt full-upgrade
sudo apt install nvidia-384 nvidia-cuda-toolkit
wget https://folding.stanford.edu/releases/beta/release/fahclient/debian-stable-64bit/v7.4/fahclient_7.4.16_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i fahclient_7.4.16_amd64.deb
sudo wget http://fah-web.stanford.edu/file-releases/public/GPUs.txt -P /var/lib/fahclient/
sudo reboot now

Never had to do any configuration of my slots. All four of my GPUs ran right away. The link I provided has details on messing with the config.xml, but its the same file as the Windows variant, so you can just copy the file if you're running the system on Windows.
