Now following up...

The number of new members added since the race started is just phenomenal. It is only a matter of time before this begins to show up as some big increases in our daily production. I'm already seeing it. In the last 23 hours I estimate that we have produced well over 6000 WU's net of nearly 1000 new WU's. I.e., this ought to indicate that we are reaching the ability to sustain over 6000 WU's a day of new production. It wasn't that long ago that 4,500 was a good day.

This is just awesome, incredible, far out...take your pick.

I just check my stats, we have almost 39% active user (673) out of 1799 (from last night) :D

If we can get some more active users that will help as well :p

But we have produced quite high since New Year:D

Great job recruiting and crunching :)

You knew it would only be a matter of time before the new production showed up. We need to keep going though if we are to catch the French team (See Steve I didn't call them Frenchies....drat DOH!) ;)

Like Shux said, it wasn't long ago that 3K was great. Does anyone remember further back when the 3.03 client was released? I don't remember the date but I remember that killed our production. Back then we were struggling to maintain 1500 WU's per day and thought it would be great if we could somehow maintain a steady 2000 WU's per day. Not anymore... :D

Everyone deserves a round of applause. The recruiters, those who help other members, the many stats providers, the proxy hosts, the website authors, Shuxclams & bot2600, and everyone from the big crackers (that's you IndyJaws) to the members who only have one machine crunching part time.

:D TeAm Anandtech is on the move and the direction is up! :D

Let's whoop some ass :)! I left my workstation at work running for the weekend, so it can crunch come WU's ;). Of course, my workstation here at home crunches almost all the time :D.

If only my computer's fans didn't bother me when I was trying to sleep...right now my deskop is running whenever I'm not sleeping. Oh well...

Check my "Debian & SETI" thread. I'm quite often in Linux, and that thread explains my situation. Once that is fixed, it runs all the time :D

Haha u have no idea =) I have 2 computers, and one of them's modded. I have a ton of fans in my athlon 1.4 rig. There's even a 120mm blowhole. Haha that thing's loud. If you leave it on for a couple of nights you'll get used to it :D.

Here's a breakdown of my fans:
1x 120mm
1x 92mm
10x 80mm
21x 60mm -- Gotta cool my hard drives :p

All those fans do make quite a bit of noise, but once u get used to them, you can't sleep w/out em hehe

Regarding the 6000 being a big deal.. i remember when 6000 was a big deal haha. I haven't been here for very long but i gotta admit.. this is fun! And this is a great TeAm. I think I'll try to add a 7th computer (Athlon 800), but it's my dads and he doesn't leave it on all the time, but at least it can crunch whenever it turns on. And I also project that I'll hit 100 WUs by the end of this weekend :)

I knew it was only a matter of time before the new recruits started increasing our daily WU totals! :D

Let's get going on those ahead! :D
