I just got a job teaching English in Korea. I will be living in Seoul for a year.

Honestly I have no idea what to pack. I'm so worried about my passport (I'm getting it at the agency on the 12th), my Visa (gotta get the passport number to my boss so he can apply for it), my flight (haven't been on a plane since I was 12). Okay enough with the parentheses.

I have no money at all either. I am borrowing everything I need to get over there and selling my crappy car also. So any ideas of what I need to have that can be gotten cheaply would be a definite plus. Or just any advice from someone else who has done this.

Thanks.

My roommate ended up stationed there a few years ago. He started teaching english when he wasn't on duty and loved it so much that he kept extending his tour there. He said after a few months he would spend more time hanging out with his korean friends than with the other americans he worked with. So enjoy your time there and have fun!

Yeah the only thing I am worried about is having enough clothes. I'm not like FAT or anything, but wow Korean girls are tiny. I guess I can just order online if I really need anything.

If you need PC parts, check out the Yong-san district in Seoul. Much bigger than the shops in Akihabara in Tokyo.

Driving there is pointless. Take the mass transit.

OP, good luck and have fun! You can buy pretty much everything there if you need it.

Prepare to drink and sing often!
