Teaching a Computer Class

I have to teach a computer class for some people at my school. I am basically supposed to teach them how to build a computer and install Windows and stuff. But the problem is they assigned as a partner a friend who knows almost nothing about computers but thinks he does. Like yesterday I was asking him what parts he had and he said, "I have a 500 meg proccesor 8 gig of ram and 128k hard drive". Basically I need some suggestions on what to teach these people and how to do it and how to do it with my friend.

Build a sytem for them. People in general learn better from hands-on, and YES, I know some people don't. Just go from scratch, and explain everything along the way. Just don't be all intimitdating geek-style. 🙂
