I dont have an issue with it. If he indeed told her to stop, if he was indeed coerced and pressured, then I am completely fine with it. Dude SAYS he was trying to get her to stop. 12 is young. 15 or even 14, I can see being an extremely willing participant, but 12 is just not there yet mentally IMO.

However, the older male teens banging female teachers, we ALL know we woulda done it too if wee had the chance, so the female teachers going away for those cases is ridiculous. Fired, OK. Charged with crimes? Bah.

If I were that boy I'd probably feel pretty bad about the woman going to jail for most of the rest of her life. Then again I probably wouldn't have told anyone what she did for that reason. I wonder how many don't to avoid this sort of thing.

Its not like the kid is dead.

Bad things happen to everyone. He has the same chance as everyone else to lead a normal life.

I wish there was a poll. I assume the majority of us do not agree with a life sentence for what occurred here.
 
Child molesters can't be rehabilitated. That's why this sentence is appropriate. Prison is to protect society and some criminals need long sentences due to their inability to stop committing that sort of crime.

Some of you are pretty sick fucks that get off on molesting kids.

if we assume criminals can't be rehabed, what point does prison serve? just forgo the process, end the criminal justice system with the hanging noose.

when its convenient, everyone wants to pretend that any teenager exposed to something sexual is scarred and traumatized for life. its probably far more traumatic to be embarrassed from being involved in this type of trial.

If you look more closely, you'll see that I'm responding to a poster who felt that 5 yr probation was enough.

38 years is definitely overkill, but 5 yr probation is a slap on the wrist for abusing a child over a fairly long period of time (you do understand that a 12 year old is a child, right?).
 
15 years would have meant 5-7 years inside. She chose to drag her victim to court and as a result testify about the repeated molestation and rape he suffered. Now she has to do 15 to 20 for lying in court and trying to weasel out. She took her chance at the further expense of the victim and his family. Let her rot.
