american lit????

anyway, point out that what he is saying is that no one can love anyone for anything other than carnal reasons. which is to say that there is no such thing as love. which is to deny the validity of most of the classic literature to date.

what a tool....

What do you think? Are women prisoners? Are we all just ignorant bodies? Can a man actually love a woman without focusing just on her looks?

I could use a little encouragement on this subject.:(

He is an idiot... I have loved two women in my life, one of them very beautiful, one... well... not quite as much... :) But she was beautiful in my eyes...

Yes, men can love a women for more than their bodies... We act tough and macho sometimes, but we are also nice and puffy inside too... When a guy shows you that side and invites you into his world, he usually loves you...

I think he's pretty correct.

Way too many relationships are based on looks, kissing, and even sex. These kinds of relationships are very poor, wherein the girl thinks she is being laid for love, but it is really because the guys just wants to get his wookie wet. I see it way too often, it could be where I live, but I doubt it.

I myself would even be an offender, I hated this one girl, she was white trash, but she was hot, and I didn't care. We broke up about 6 months later when I found that SHE was cheating on ME :/ Stupid whore :p
