Teac CDROM Problems

Hello
I just purchased a Teac CD-540E CDROM online and installed it in my computer. I upgraded the firmware to 3.0A using the utility found at Teac's website, but I am getting horrible speeds using my drive. When I test it using CDSpeed99, I get around 5x speed out of it. Using Sandra 2001's CDROM test, the test just ended up hanging. The Teac is the secondary master sharing it's channel with a Plextor 8/4/32 Writer. If you know how I can fix my speed problems please let me know. I've read a lot of good things about this drive, but for me it is working horribly. If this helps at all, my system is: Asus P3V4X, P700@933, 128 MB Infineon RAM, IBM 30GB ATA100 HD, Teac 540E, Plextor 8/4/32, Geforce 2, SB Live, and 3Com Ethernet. Thanks in advance!

Im afraid I cant email you, but I can tell you that you'll need the latest beta BIOS, and the extension utility. In the utility you can adjust the DAE speed, I assume that right now your speed is set to the lowest, I had the same problem, but since I changed its setting, it's been performing very nicely.
