No one denies there are people out there who will hate us for reasons not valid. No one. But fueling the hatred toward us by propping up dictators, meddling in others' affairs, and sanctioning poor nations like Iraq who was not a threat to us, killing hundred of thousands, doesn't help.

ok, I completely agree with your assessment of this Middle East situation here. I think many of these countries in ME who are very fundamental and radical, I mean less tolerant of West, is partly because of the autocratic government US keep proping up there. These type of despots although provide temporary stability for us since they are all pro-US, slows the modernization of these regions. This means their people is isolated, and with isolation, fearful of things like foreigners, western religions etc. Let these Kings/dictators go, let their people prosper, get them into international trades, once they start opening up, doing businesses with the outside world, they as well as us will probably find that the people on the other side isn't scary at all. With time, with cross trading and more open exchanges, I think things will moderate. You only fear what you know very little about.
