This is the mind of a liberal. This is how they think, this is what they believe to their core. It's not your money to begin with in their minds.

You would be making far less money without government, so them expecting a percentage seems reasonable. Unless you think it would be easier to start a business in Somalia, Haiti, or Afghanistan.

Then again logic doesn't play into the conservative mindset, given that red states are some of the biggest leeches on the treasury while simultaneously bemoaning "big government".

Wonder what ppl like spidey will do in oregon, where we voted by mail. Oh no, we can't intimidate anyone! I guess you could destroy mailboxes in minority areas around election time...lol

How is monitoring the polls "intimidating" people?

I still don't understand this logic.

Yet again someone confuses advocating for minimal government with anarchy.

Is the distinction really that difficult for you folks to see?

And again, paying taxes is NOT the issue. The issue is if one receives a tax deduction, is it a gift, or allowing one to keep more of one's own money?

Why not?

Black panthers can stand out side in paramilitary garb and carry nightsticks.

Not saying that I agree with anything the clan does but as a matter of "equal protection" and the 1st amendment, you cannot treat groups differently just because you may not agree with them.

Where did I say he didn't have the right to do so? You're really sliding down the list of contenders for top troll around here.

Please explain to us how "receiving any government money" is different from claiming a tax deduction.
A tax deduction is taken to deduct the amount of taxable income by the government. In other words, its treated as if you never earned that money. It's not giving you more money back, just returning the money that it overcollected.

To illustrate, consider the following completely hypothetical simplified situations:

Allan earns $40,000. He's taxed at 20%. His tax bill is $8,000. And so $8,000/26 is withheld on every bi-weekly paycheck.
Betty earns $50,000. She's also taxed at 20%. Her tax bill is $10,000. And so $10,000/26 is withheld on every bi-weekly paycheck. However, because Betty has been able to take $10,000 in deductions (donations/property tax/mortgage interest/contributions to IRA/etc.), her tax bill is really $8,000, and she receives a tax refund of $2,000 that was overpaid.
