Anybody know any info on when its supposed to arrive? It's on their website, and some stores have it on preorder. I want this burner badly - espically if I'll be able to have it in my hands in a couple of weeks. I'm guessing that this TDK is not made by Plextor, simply because Plextor hasn't announced one yet. Have any info on it?

Thanks in advance.

The current TDK VeloCD is a Plextor in disguise. Don't know about the new model though. There isn't much difference between 12x and 16x though... I'd go with a 12x since they are under $200 now.

The only thing this thing needs to make it really rock, is to play DVD's too....

this would have to be a yamaha in disguise... since AFAIK they are the only company that has released a 16x drive...

Sanyo came up with Burnproof, and Plextor licenses it to put on their drives. I think you are confused.
