TDK 50 pack silver/blue spindle-$9.99 at Compusa, no limit!

Hey guys,

Compusa had a BIG stand right when you walk in selling TDK silver fronts with blue bottoms for $9.99 for 50! They are 16x 80 min, 700 meg. I saw no limit and both me and a friend bought 2 for $21 after tax which is pretty darn good if you ask me 🙂

not sure if this is a repost so if it is, forgive.

can anyone confirm this deal!??!
I am gonna hit up some Compusa on Rt 46 in Parsippany, NJ

thanks

If they are the same ones I have, which it sounds like, they report being TDK Corp; Dye (Long Strategy, e.g. Cyananive, Azo, etc.).

I burn these at 24 all the time. I got these in a pack of 30 when CC had a rebate on them. I assume they are the same. I know, thouh, that the TK 24x are the "cheap" ones. I guess these are pretty good.

Mine report as Ritek and have no problems @ 24X

there are 2 kinds of 50pc spindles from TDK.

One is Taiwan (not sure if ritek, but prolly is) in a simple GREY spindle
The other is Japanese (TY) with a black spindle, packaged like the fuji\HP\Sony spindles.

read the label.

Made in Japan >>>>>>>>> Made in Taiwan

I didn't think Riteks were blue. I thouht the Riteks were the short strategy slightly green color ones. But, I'm not sure.

I know that the 16x Blue TDKs are shown as TDK Corp made (only had a 30 pack). I have about 150 (3x50) of the 24X TDKs and they are greenish and someone else mkes them.

change the thread title...

in my Sunday ad the TDK 32x 50 pack is $2.99 after rebates (doesn't mention limits). This is FLAMING HOT!😀

Same in my Sunday ad

Ok, I got my $2.99 CD-Rs the Skokie store. All they had were Made in Taiwan. They didn't have any of the TDK 16x for $9.99 spindles. They only had some 24x for $19.99.

I asked one of the guys (who was a jack*ss, btw) about the UPC and he said the copy should go to the "CompUSA Offer" address, which is the $2 rebate. Send the original to the "TDK Offer" $10 rebate.

I just picked up 2 spindles of the TDK 32x.

Do I send in the 2 $10 rebates with 1 receipt in the same mail ?

This deal is limit 1 per customer (the $2.99 deal), so don't send them together. You make copies of the UPC and Receipt. Always keep your original receipt, but you have to send the original UPC to the "TDK Offer" rebate (the $10 rebate), and the copy to the $2 rebate.

not sure where you guys got these rebates from, the ones I got were in-store with no rebates. 100 cd's for $21 out the door.

sorry, I was diluting the thread, they also have a different deal going on (and actually they don't have this $9.99 deal at my local store).

50 pack for $2.99 (after IR + MIR)
