TDK 50 Pac CDRs (Made in Japan) $9 at CC AR

Didn't see this posted so I thought I'd let you know. Was at Circuit City today looking at TDK CDRs and the free after rebate camera bag and found this. The disks are $29 and there is a $20 rebate on them. Most of them said "Made in Japan". This would actually make them slightly cheaper than the Target disks. Before someone asks this was obviously B&M, didn't check online.

Hope this helps someone.

Available online CDR80CB50T 16X $29.99 with 2 $10 rebates. One CC rebate, one TDK rebate. Don't know if this is the same thing you are talking about.

Hmmm the sign I saw in the store, did not specify that there are two $10 rebates. It simply showed $20. Sorry, if I had known I would have posted that there are two rebates involved. Well I still hope it helped someone.

Thanks for clarification.

Thanks Cat Man, good pick.

Picked up a spindle of these last night, I don't have the massive CD-R diet that some of you AT guys have, so I don't buy 200 at a time 🙂

Fair warning, this spindle is one of those that 2 spindles of TDK marked CD-Rs side by side one is Taiwan one is Japan. The Made in Japan spindles have the slightly different screwtop that has been mentioned before, I'm not certain you can discriminate between the two flavors when ordering online, I'd stick to the B&M, but that's just me.

And yes there are two $10 rebates, one a TDK, one a CC, both going to different PO Boxes in Young America, MN. The good news is the CC rebate only asks for a legible copy of the receipt and a copy of the UPC, so you don't have two rebates squabbling over the originals.

Cheers,
KF

5 of the 50 packs (made in Japan) were still available at the Crossroads CC store in Cary, NC if any are in the area. I passed on them. I hate cheap rebates.

If you bought these or buy them today, you can make them better than free tomorrow.
CompUSA has these in their ad for $24.99 - $10 instant rebate - $12 mail in rebates.
If you bought them from CC, have them PM to the $14.99 price, plus you still
get the $20 rebates from CC, thus making nearly $5 for taking a spindle from them. Pretty
hot deal now, huh? Plus, last time CompUSA put theirs on sale, they were Ritek and the
ones I got from CC were Taiyo-Yuden. Look for the made in Japan if you want to be sure.

Hey i was just at cc. Got them, 29.99 - 10 for tdk and 10 for cc. The cc deal ended today. I checked em and they are taiyos, well at least the ones made in japan.
