TDK 5 pack Mini DV's $14.83 @ target BM

Just found a 5 pack of TDK Mini DV's for $14.83 on clearance. They originally sold for $29 about 3 months ago. Costco has a 6 pack tape set for $27....
 
They also had 3 packs for about $10 something but at $3 a tape. I'll buy as many as I can get. I've been using the TDK's for about a year and a half now with no problems.
 
Still $20 at my Target. Even checked the scanner. I'll keep my eye on them. I remember paying $15 each for mini DV tape about 6 years ago.
 
That's a great deal. One note, though. About 8 months ago, someone posted clearance Maxell DV tapes at Target for $1.97 a piece and everyone went wild, including me. I cleared out my Target and scored 15 of them.

I can't explain it, but they must "go bad" or something. The first 6-7 of them worked fine, then they started to jam. I thought it was the camera, so sold the cam and bought a new model. Same thing happened with the first Maxell tape, with the brand new camcorder.

Now, of course, TDKs are not Maxells. But one wonders why things go on Clearance at Target. Probably because TDK is not gonna make that model anymore, and maybe they found a problem and the new model DV tape is better. Or something.

Anyhow, just a warning. Great deal anyhoo!
