I just purchased the TDK drive from Dell with the 130.18 - the $10.00 off of 100 stackable with the 10% off + a $40.00 rebate with Free shipping and no tax to Cali, my total is 67 + some change. I think that is a Warm if not hot deal.....

This is my first post so please do not flame me too hard...

Negative on that, I thought I would try again tomorrow and if it is still down I will call Customer Service for them to email one to me.

I searched for TDK32X.pdf on Google.com and found this rebate form.

My dialup is sooooooo frickin' slow it isn't funny, the pdf still hasn't loaded, is that a legit rebate form for this CD-RW?

nevermind that's a $20 rebate form which ended 2/28/2002 🙁

There isn't a good rebate link @Dell's site. It's a bad link. The link is at this URL and I get 'the page cannot be found'. Also, no contact email address for Dell....no surprise there. :disgust: I see at p'watch there are $20, and $50 rebates listed for this drive. At Dell's, (if it existed) it is $40. Would be nice to know which is legit. So, 'rasputin', please fill us in on how you got the rebate form from Dell. BTW, There is no rebate mentioned at TDK's website.

I have not been able to get the Rebate yet. I just emailed customer service to send me the PDF. I will let you know what the response is or when I receive the rebate form.

Wow, you got b@lls! :Q Buying a product when you can't get to the rebate! I got burned a few times years back by doing that and never have since. I hope it works out for you, and they (Dell) give you the rebate, but you should always be sure to have that rebate form on your HD BEFORE you make a purchase involving a rebate. There are too many jerk vendors out there that promote non-existent/fraudulent rebates, and won't even accept the product back because of their illegal promo of a rebate. 🙂 Hope it works out for you, and for whoever else bought one. Please let us know.

<< Does this drive have burn-proof technology? I didn't see it on the website. >>

Drive is a Sanyo OEM with Burn-Proof

I love TDK burners! I've had the TDK 12x10x32 VeloCD for almost 2 years and it still works great. Quiet and Fast! The 12X I have is a rebadged Plextor with Sanyo's BurnProof technology. I wish this 32X is also a rebadged Plex. Anyone has comment about this?

Anyway, I just placed an order. Dell is a reputable corp. which will still honor the rebate even though TDK doesn't coz Dell advertised with $40 rebate.

I called dell and told them that the pdf link was broken. The cust rep said she sent a notice to the webmaster. I also found the place on their site for site problem reporting and did then same thing.

I think somebody's asleep at the wheel...

ps
Seems as though all their TDK rebate links are broken. I'm ready to order this item but I have to see the rebate first.
