You might have read my thread about my TCCD not overclocking worth a damn at 1T....but my results at 2T have been pretty impressive.

300 Mhz

Oh by the way this is Corsair XMS XL 512 stick. I ran it up to 290 at 2.5-3-3-6 before it wouldn't post. Laxed the timings to 3-4-4-8 at 300 HTT and here I am posting right now. :) All of this was on 2.8 vdimm on my Chaintech VNF3-250.

Bandwidth scores aren't all that impressive, but remember that it is single channel. I might try and tighten it up to 3-3-3 or something similar. I just tried 3-4-4 to see how high it would go. Haven't pushed it any farther yet, but it is memtest and prime blend stable.

If you remember from my other thread, I couldn't get this stuff to boot into Windows even at 230 2.5-3-3-6 at 1T. I'm really starting to think the ram isn't the problem. :p

Anybody else agree?

I know I know...thanks for rubbing it in!
:(

I just thought it was pretty decent for a $125 stick of widely available ram. :)

Neat to see 300Mhz memory but...

I've gotten the same bandwidth with 260Mhz T1. T2 Sucks. You are better off running T1 and using a lower ratio, or just using a higher CPU multiplier and a lower reference clock.

Have you tried other timings to try to get it to OC better with T1? I would never have an anticipated a tRAS as low a 6 to work stable with 2.5-3-3 timings. Try 3-4-4-9 or something and give it more voltage.
