G'day all!
I've been receiving shipments of TBreds lately when ordering 1800XPs. Normally this would thrill me, but I have a slight problem that I thought I would pass on as a heads up...
Most of the mobos we have been shipping Athlons with have been the MSI K7N420 Pro boards. I have found them excellent performers, and the easiest install I've ever done. Unfortunately, they do not recognise the TBred (.13u) XPs as requiring lower core voltage, and infact there is no way (yet) to set the VCore down to 1.65. This has been causing me some ugly temp problems. I have switched (temporarily) to using the Abit NV7M (which appears to detect this), but I thought others might want to check their mobo settings to see if 1.65 VCore is possible...
Cheers,
Charles
