Hi

I am thinking of getting this deal at outpost HERE

Outpost told me it was a Tbred core.

I know that the tbred core is only 256 L2 while the bartons are 512L2

In what apps would i notice a difference and how much would it hurt me?

Would it affect counterstrike gameplay?

TIA

More cache is faster. I believe that it doesn't affect games that much though. If it was me, I'd still go get a Barton for not that much more. You can always overclock that Barton 2500+ too ;).

Unless you're speaking of the CS:S version, no. That game is freaking old, it stops scaling somewhere around a 1GHz CPU with 256Megs of RAM and a GeForce vid card. If that is the only game you play, I would say that it's not worth it. On top of that, I would rather get a more exepensive mobo and overclock the FSB with a TBred than run a Barton at stock, but that's me :p
