My Tbred 1700 is currently running at 10.5*166 (1750 MHz) at 1.75 V (as reported by A7V333-R). Temp can go up to 61 C (HOT!) at full load (Prime95 torture test for couple hours). HSF is volcano 6 Cu+ (6800 rpm, I know this is not a good HSF). Memory is Kingston 256 PC2100 DDR I just got from OD (no idea who made it, currently running at ~2.7V).
I would like to push it across the 1800 MHz line. What should I do now? Should I just increase the voltage and see if it will run at 1833 MHz (something probably will start melting)? Or should I forget it and be happy with 1750? I think my stepping starts with an R.
What do you guys think?
