Tbird900+ Golden Orb Rev2= dangerous?

Hello.
I bought a new CPU Athlon TB900 and a new cooler,a Chrome Orb(Titan Majesty 5AB) , but I've red over insanehardware.com their review about Orbs , and mine looks similar to the Golden Orb Rev2 and not to the new Chrome Orb.They say, it can destroy the CPU,but i didnt understand whether you can destroy it then you install it or then you also use it, because of the weight. So if i manage to install it properly, will it then work properly? And should the cooler touch the CPU then it's installed?

the problem with cracking duron/t-bird cores is because teh heatsink is resting flat on the cpu when the clips are pressed down. This "rocking" is what destroy's the duron/t-bird tops.

Heres the scoop on ORBAGE. The Original Golden ORB had a twist lock design which was never meant to be used with Socket A (Tbird/Duron) it was for Socket 370 (Peee3/C2s). These were major chip crushers. Next came the Golden ORB Socket A (Socket 462), these could still crush the edge of the core if installed poorly. Now comes the kicker, this hsf performed pretty poorly, couldn't move the heat away fast enough. Next came the Chrome ORB, somewhat improved, no anodized metal ( AMD recommends against it). Its supposed to be AMD approved but wasn't on the list last time I looked. All the hsfs are made by Thermaltake. Titan appears to have some connection to Thermaltake but I can't confirm it. A 900 BIRD puts out quite a bit of heat, I don't think that I would take the chance. Just my 2 cents.
