If they were the same price (and assuming that I'll buy a KT133A mobo), is it a better buy to get a regular T-Bird running at 1.1Ghz or to get a 266 FSB T-bird running at 1.0 Ghz?

Thanks,

Does one have to do the pencil trick on 1Ghz+ T-birds? I've heard that some come unlocked by default...the bridges shown in the article linked above make me think that as well...

Any contradictory opinions would be apperciated...I hope to buy tonight.

Thanks,

Get a 1100/200 and run it at 1066/266 (8x133).

Of the 1100/200 and 1000/266 without tweaking I'd take the 1000/266.

If you read the gotapex article on this, it says that the 200mhz athlons are better choice for overclocking, but if u don't the 266 are better.
