CPU: 1133 Tbird Athlon @ 1267
Motherboard: Abit KT7A

CPU Voltage: 1.85V
I/O Voltage: 3.9 V

I did the pencil trick, to unlock the CPU, AND to unlock the Voltage.

The system seems stable at 1267 MHZ, No crashing yet, been up couple hours, with some CPU tests.

I think my CPU can go higher, but anything Higher it crashes.

Idle Temp: 49 C
Full Load Temp: 59 C

I'm using a Volcano 5, and some generic Thermal Paste.

I'm using 11x Multiplier, 115 FSB (For some reason, i can't OC at 133 FSB other than the normal Multiplier for 1133).

Is there any BIOs updates, or something i can do to unlock my CPU and make it go a little faster? I really don't like only 154 MHZ out of the CPU.

Stock Voltage on an Athlon is 1.75V, Its at its max of 1.85V.

I also increased the I/O voltage from 3.4 to 3.9V

Also i'd like to say that I can boot at 1334, But during windows loading screen, i get Evil blue screen.

I can log into windows at 1300, mess around for about a couple minutes, then it will crash. (won't load 3dmark 2001)

I can play around with 1276, but will crash after a benchmark.

And its stable now at 1267

I found new bios updates, should I get those and see if it'll overclock higher?

Every chip is different but there are some general rules...

Rule #1: Heat is bad. If you're idling at 49 and reaching 59 at load, that's not good. Some people may say those temps are ok, but IMO you don't want to be running that hot. I'd say you can 'safely' go up to about 50 max -- after that you're taking your chances. I don't know much about the Volcano 5, but if I were you I'd try a different HSF, and definitely some 'real' thermal compound, such as AS2/AS3, etc.

I have that board and 59C is pretty high for its socket thermistor (I know there is some variation from board to board, but from what I have seen the KT7A reads lower than most, so the real temp would be even higher). I always destabilized at anything over 55C. You should try a better heatsink and maybe a few more case fans.

Also, I don't think the 1.13's were big overclockers.

I ran a 1gig T-bird @ 1.433gig, but it took doing a voltage mod (ran at 2.05v) to that mobo to get it. I also watercooled. When I was only running an Alpha PAL 6035 with the delta screamer, the highest I could go was 1.33gig.

You should run Prime95 to see if its stable even where your at right now, if not you will be having data errors which will end up corrupting your install eventually.

Also why so much I/O voltage? Usually unnecessary unless your pushing your fsb where your memory will need the extra voltage. Otherwise its best to keep it at default.

If your processor is unlocked, why not run 133 and change the multiplier until your stable. That way your not stressing your PCI/AGP devices (including hard drive) with out of spec bus. Right now your at 38.3mhz PCI bus, thats starting to get a little high. Try something like 9.5 * 133 or even 10 * 133 (you might be limited by your high FSB.

Anyway, good luck man.

...............edit...................
I was re-reading your post and just noticed you can't post at 133. Either your unlock is bad or your memory sucks. I don't know what kind your using, but I have bought generic PC133 that was really PC100 and just wouldn't run stable at 133fsb. Are you trying aggressive memory settings. I wouldn't right away as I was looking for my processors max speed.

I really can't think of a way to lower my temperture w/o buying something I really don't want to buy, I'd Rather just invest into a new CPU, and my Case is open as we speak.

Would a BIOs update help my chance of overclocking higher?

You may need more voltage, try a voltage mod if you must.

I did the pencil trick, to unlock the CPU, AND to unlock the Voltage.

The unlocking process may have not been 100% sucessful. Try doing it again and use some conductive paint if possible.

Idle Temp: 49 C
Full Load Temp: 59 C

Your temps are a bit on the high side. Try to get a Delta 38cfm or better fan and install it on your current heat sink. Also re-apply the thermal compound and check the heat sink for proper seating.

Is there any BIOs updates, or something i can do to unlock my CPU and make it go a little faster? I really don't like only 154 MHZ out of the CPU.

A BIOS update may be good, check the manufacturer's web site.

if i can through my 2 cents in no bios update will help it sounds to me more like a cooling. If I may ask do you have any case fanes and you might want to put a bigger fan on your heatsink and northbridge.

Even if you upgrade to a better chip yo'll still need better cooling, the higher the speeds the hotter it's gonna get, just check the FS/FT forums for $25-35 you'll find a great cooler that will do your chip some good. At least get the AS2/3 from SVCompucycle

My 1Ghz T-Bird AXIA 'Y' Runs cooler than your 1.13 and it's running @ 1.53Ghz!!!

This is not to be expectedfrom all T-Birds tho, the AXIA 'Y' is a special chip...

37 Idle
46 Load

Check the sig for specs. Your cooling needs to be upped to a decent HSF with AS2 or 3.

Plus, don't think that because your case is open that your will automatically get better cooling. This is not true. My temps go UP when my case is open, as my case air flow has been designed to clear hot spots.

Athlon Unspecified@1.65Ghz, 1.85v, 10x165fsb=1650mhz. Rock stable on Volcano 5, i would say get new thermal compound and recheck your unlocking process, if that doesnt work youre at your ceiling, only way to get faster is water/vapor-phase/air-conditioned cooling.

I am running my 1.2 Athlon on a 150 FSB, and its running at 1.35 now, along with my DDR running at 300 MHz...

I have an ECS K7S5A, and I can only adjust the FSB in BIOS. All voltage and multiplier adjustments would have to be done on the chip.
What would be good to try out? This chip was already unlocked, but if i wanted to change multiplier and voltage, what would i do...

ditch that cheap volcano and get something with some copper in it to lower your temps,

i suggest getting something that will hold a 80mm fan and go for the delta,
not for sure which modle it is but they have one that pumps out like 80cfm

here it is
delta 80mm @ 80cfm

i suggest a heatsink like this one

THERMALRIGHT

or this one but its a pain in the ass to install

SWIFTECH

there all from the same place so everything will come at once,
i ordered the 80mm delta from them and shipping was very quick and trouble free
