Hey Guys .. for the people who arent in school ... what is usually the % of taxes you get back from the MAN!!!????

It's alot to do with tax brackets.

General rule. half hte money you earn will be taxed. Whether it's income tax, sales tax, property tax, etc.... expect half of your pay check to be non-existant.

I never actually get any money back. Sometimes they return a few bucks in April because they withheld too much throughout the year but no matter how you look at it I pay every year.

So does everybody else........................

No, not really. There are those who get EIC that get back "MUCH MORE" than they pay in. There are 40 million workers who paid ZERO (or less) federal tax last year.

No one can answer that. It depends on how much you make, over what period of time you earned it, how many exemptions you claimed on your W-4, and what other income you had besides wages.

hmmm ... okay ... what i meant by getting back is for students they get back all the taxes they pay besides city tax ... like NYC withholding ... or something .. im talking about how much fed u get back from THE MAN!
