And you thought tax question season was over!

Long story short, ordered a laptop for school and thought I got it in 2010 but instead got it Dec 28th 2009. I was out of town and didn't realize I had gotten it until I got back home on the 5th. Is there anyway to add this credit? I had heard of the 1040x but I'm personally thinking it's way too late to do this.

Any ideas? Could I claim it on this years taxes instead?

I assume you mean for the American Opportunity credit? Technically, computers only qualify if they're a condition of enrollment or attendance. Aside from that, if you already have $4000 in expenses, then any more is worthless.
