The internet not only allows a group of people with a bizarre interest (furries) to find each other, it's allows a group of people with a cross-section of two bizarre interests (furries and NAZIs) to find each other.
Occasionally, that's good. Other times, you get shit like this.
Yup, it's not like weird people never existed, and never created fan clubs or interest groups...but that always involved newsletters, real investment in snail mail, organized info, actual print material and handling funds and dues.
....shit like this, people would have never had the patience to work with the maybe 3 dedicated super serious wackos to keep a club going. With the internet, weirdos from anywhere can be as lazy as they want, and no need for the 3 super dedicated to hustle to keep everything organized. Then it grows. and then they eventually start talking about meeting up for real, and holding conventions. There just never would have been enough super passionate nazi anarchist furries to sustain a print-based classic fan club.
And then we'd never hear about it ever being a thing, which in a way is kinda sad.
