Whoever said warriors are not known for damage nor can they dominate in pvp has not played a high level warrior. Frankly put, while my overall DPS stays around 210ish over an extended period of time (using total damage divided by total time), my burst dps can easily go above 2k dps.

If you read carefully I never said warriors couldn't do damage. I said their role in a group is not to do damage, but to HOLD AGGRO, which enables the group as a whole to do more damage. I qualified all statements about damage with grouping, where you typically will not be doing nearly as much damage as you would when soloing or PvP'ing.
As far as PvP, if you're playing against GOOD players, then warriors have some inherent disadvantages, primarily from a mobility standpoint. It doesn't matter how much damage you can do when you can't get close enough. Shamans really only need to frost shock, earthbind, run away and repeat. Warlocks can seduce and fear you so much you never even get CLOSE to them. Priests are easier in that their Fear has a long cooldown, but they are still tough for warriors. Hunters and Druids have significantly better snares than warriors too.
They certainly do not dominate in PvP the way a well played shaman or priest can. Again, I chose the language quite precisely. A warrior will not dominate MOST other classes in PvP. They will do well against certain classes most of the time, and other classes some of the time, and they have their very weak classes. That is not domination, that is average.
However a well played shaman has problems with VERY few classes. And a well played priest has problems with VERY few classes. These are classes that can dominate PvP. Warriors have too many mobility issues to "dominate" in PvP.
