Ok I was bored one day and I taught my cat at my parent's house how to open doors which I thought was not possible but then I start hearing complaints of him opening the doors so now I have no idea what to do...😕 Luckily he can't open doors with the round handle (yet).

Drink him under the table until he forgets

Change all the handles to round ones.
Spray it with water whenever it opens a door.

Man, this would be hilarous to do as a prank. Your cat just opens the door and walks in at random times, middle of the night, poon, etc.

On a side note, all the door handles in my house are the lever type. My son could open any door in my house at about the time he was old enough to walk and reach them.

As a more serious reply, you could try attaching a power source to the handle. Whenever the cat touches it, it will get electrocuted. Yes it sounds inhumane, but a few shocks at an unconfortable voltage will condition the cat to fear opening doors. Problem solved.

i'd say shock not electrocute.. electrocute = death IIRC

Sounds great..until you forget and open the door yourself. 😛

But can it dial 911, bark into the phone, and unlock the door for the police when they arrive?
