I think that the original album - yes, the one in Russian! - sounds much, much better. It's enough to make comparisons between "Nas ne Dogoniat" and the bastardized English version "Not Gonna Get Us". I mean, the Russian version is definitely heartfelt (gives you goosebumps) while the English version is mechanical and devoid of feeling. Plus the Smiths tribute is just a marketing gimmick...

So what if you don't understand the words - just listen to the music, and see how well the voice and the instruments blend together. That's IMHO what counts when it comes to music. In any case, the American taste is different (think "Dave Matthews Band" and "Hootie and the Blowfish"... and realize why there's no good synth-pop or new-wave coming from the U.S.)

I checked out the original Russian release. They sound very similar (same songs, just in Russian) but I think I like the foreign version better. Just sounds sexier. 🙂

Who cares if they are lesbians? I don't and do you really think people are *going* to buy the single if they are lesbians? I don't think so. I think they'll buy the single because they like it and not just because they are lesbians. I'm sure they have an internet connection and can get enough lesbian action else where.........
