Do you have one? Can't figure out why everyone loves 'em so much. To be fair, there are some tasteful ones, but I've been seeing a lot of gaudy ones lately.

Tats have lost their "mojo" if you will. When I was in my 20's (let's just say 1980's time period, okay?) a guy in his 30's with multiple tats had stories to tell for each one. Real stories, not "Dude, I was like, in the mall and then I was like, just well "whatever" and me and my bud got some tats...it's like real meaningful to me. And stuff." 🙄

And chicks w/tats has gotten WAY WAY out of hand. Tramp stamps used to be just that; a sure-fire "I can bend this girl over in the parking lot" stamp of approval. Now every minivan mommy that wants to pretend she's "slutty" has one. And the college girls that get them? A quick trip to the Bangbus would set them back on the first Greyhound bus home to Momma. Wannabe slutlets need not apply.

What I'm trying to say is "POSER!" (That's an 80's heavy metal term...look it up.)

Now is a great time to start a career in their removal. It's good money.

I have a belt sander. I could start a clinic in my basement :^D

If tattoos were free, I'd probably have one. I haven't wanted to spend the time or money to get one, and I'm getting too old now. The return on my purchase wouldn't be as good as if I were younger.

If you have one more power to you but if you have them in places that are easily seen, be prepared to be judged. Such is life.

Out of curiosity, how much do they cost? Is it based on time, intracacy, other factors, or a combo of stuff?

Yes. 🙂 Size, color, detail and bargaining factor all come into play. I have tats yet I agree with the prepare to be judged comments. If you want one, get one. Just get it somewhere that it cannot be seen while wearing a long sleeved shirt.

they make it easy to spot the fools / idiots / sheep. They all look like some kind of laundry accident.

I know a guy who weighs 130lbs and he has barbed wire around his bicep. People routinely ask him if his arm can hold that tatoo up.

I can't think of anything worth getting. But I'm thankful there were no tattoo places open on certain drunken nights. Would be HUGE regrets

I have 2. Both have meaning to me and that's all that matters.

I tried to find a picture of one of them, it's close to this:

Outside of my right shoulder, not large.

Don't have one, getting close to getting one though. Star Wars Imperial Cog on my right shoulder. Been thinking it over for about 10 years now.

I don't, but my wife has a pretty good size ribcage piece on her right side with stars in it. It's self expression just like anything else. (Clothes we wear, car we drive, etc.) I don't have a problem with it.

Somewhat similar to this one.

I don't have any and I have zero desire to get one, but I generally don't judge people if they have them. The only people I really have a problem with are the ones that complain about not having money for food and rent, then go and get a $300 tattoo.
