Don't get it. You will regret it later.

I went through a tattoo phase a few years ago. I am sooo glad I didn't get anything.

Get a bumper sticker if you want to advertise to people something that is important to you.

I do just fine thanks and have zero regrets about my tattoo and likely will not regret my new one either, unless it gets fucked up somehow.

Love everyone who has no clue telling others what to do. If you had one, then had it removed, then I retract that statement, otherwise shut the fuck up and let adults think for themselves.

How long have you had tattoos for? How old are you?

I've never had any tattoos and I certainly have no regrets. What don't I have a clue about? Tattoos? Do you have to have tats to know that they aren't for you?

I definitely have an opinion on tattoos but it's not clueless. It's just what works for me. I KNOW what I want and it isn't a tattoo. 😛

36 and I've had my first one for about 7 or 8 years.

You'll just regret it later in life. The only people who don't are people who don't give a shit and/or have no job.

This is the bullshit part I took issue with. I don't care what you do and your reasons for having or not having one, knock yourself out, but ignorant statements like that are what annoy me.

Now I agree if you are getting them all over your face or something, then they likely fall under the second part, but those people are a very small minority.

I'm sure you're right...

http://www.starpulse.com/news/SheKn.../01/10/mark_wahlberg_removing_a_funky_bunch_o

Mark Wahlberg is willing to go through a lot of pain to be a good example for his four children. That's why the actor is in the process of removing all of his treasured tattoos!

Mark Wahlberg's skin will soon be as pristine as a newborn babe's. The actor and father of four is having all of his tattoos removed -- even the ones he's sentimentally attached to.

" all have meaning to me, but you know it's both personal and professional," Mark Wahlberg told Matt Lauer of deciding to remove them during a recent visit to the Today show.

The father of Ella, Michael, Brendan and Grace continued, "I don't want to have my kids getting tattoos... I’m taking my two oldest kids with me to the procedure, where they can see how painful that is."

So that means it's time for the ink masterpieces to bid Mark Wahlberg's body adieu

OK...😕

KT

Yeah ???

A lot of celebrities / people do this so they can brag it up how they left their 'street past' behind them.

It's for publicity. If it was so personal to him, he wouldn't be selling the story.

He's probably auditioning for a Tebow movie.

I'd have more regrets wrecking the clean look of my car with a bumper sticker than I would getting a tattoo on my ass.

Edit: For the record I have two tattoos, zero regrets, make more money than 90%+ of Americans, and pull more quality tail than most of you dream about. If it makes some of you feel better to believe that people with tattoos are below you, then don't let reality get in your way. I'll just sit up here on my throne and laugh at you little people scurrying about, casting judgment. It amuses me.

You know when someone says " I went through a/an _______ phase," they actually acted on the impulse.

Like: "Edro went through a thumb sucking phase when he/she was younger." It means you actually sucked your thumb, not you contemplated it but decided otherwise.

Other than the cross I have on my left shoulder, my other two wouldn't make a single ounce of sense to anyone if they were bumper stickers. Ask me about them, I don't care I'll tell you why I got them. Like I said earlier, zero regrets.

I couldn't agree more. I will be 36 next month, and in a few weeks, getting another tattoo. I posted a pic of it in this thread.

I also have gotten my first one, about 7 1/2 years ago. I don't regret it, and I never will. Or my new ones.

To all of you that are scared to get one, If you can handle a minor sunburn, you can handle a tattoo.

Oh, and I earn plenty enough money to take care of my wife of 17 years in March, and my 3 kids, dog...and 2 cats.

I love these kinds of threads where everyone voices their opinions.
Hearing opinions that differ from your own is tough.

I like tattoos. They are just another piece of data to stereotype with.

I also see tattoos as being perceived differently by different generations. And my generation seems to be very accepting of them.

If you are going to get a tattoo, do it right. Not some tacky little thing in some discreet area. But I guess this wouldn't work for work.

I'm getting this one done in a few weeks.

Like this, this is good, an actual design addition to the body and not some tacky ink sticker.

tacky ink sticker could still be very special. i mean some people think birth marks are special. the dude in that picture looks like a fucking tribal chief.

more jules tatoo fail.

mark wahlberg is a nice touch since his tats are obviosuly from when he was marky mark and drugged out

Ankle -- Sylvester the cat with Tweety Bird in his mouth.

Upper right arm -- A design of his initials "MW" along with his last name.

Upper left arm -- Bob Marley portrait with the words "One Love."

Around his neck -- A rosary with a crucifix and the words "In God I Trust" resting over his heart.

I would get most of those removed once I was off drugs too

I want to get a small tattoo, probably of a line from one of my favorite literary works.

Where is the best place to get a tattoo if I don't want it to prevent me from getting a job. I'm on track to get the kind of the job where I have to wear a suit to work every day.

just get it on a t-shirt

I think attitudes towards tattoos are changing a lot.

if you just avoid your face, neck, and hands, you're probably fine.

but yes, wrist and feet are totally feminine places. may as well get a tramp stamp. I have sex with dudes and when I clicked on that pictures, I thought "goddamn that's gay." 😛

I wear jeans and a t-shirt to work, my tattoos being clearly visible, and make well into 6 figures. I'd never want to work for a judgemental douche like Jules.

I love being in software development/IT, dress and look however you want, as long as you know your shit no one cares.
