tattoos..White trash or not?

Tattoos are fine with me so long as they actually mean something to the wearer, not simply "this looks cool so I'm going to get it!"

The only tattoo I have is the Kanji sybol for "fate" on my left shoulder and it means something to me.

I've also considered getting a tattoo on my back of an angel holding a sword while cradling, protecting two children (my kids) within its wings. Again, this would have meaning for me because I care immensely about my kids.

The tramp stamp, tribals, arm bands, ankle type bracelets, dragons, crosses, tigers, snakes, fairies, butterfly all fall into the trashy category.

Only ones I genuinely think are cool are portraits.

That pic is obviously fake. Even prison-style inking with piano wire would make the letters more sharp.

I've got my whole back, and I don't think it's trashy. You'll never know I had any unless I'm at the beach or without a shirt on. Its marked off so even in a tank top or wifebeater you can't see them.

Tattoo's aren't trashy. People who have no respect for the art form and think they're trashy, aren't open-minded enough to appreciate it.

Although in those rare cases where the person bearing the tattoo goes "oh I saw it on a wall, it looked fvcking cool". You may call him/her a dumbass all you want. That and white people with kanji that can't read it on them or white people with polynesian tribal on them because it's cool.

thanks, dad had a cool name too. it would look nice in a Gothic font along the underside of my forearm.

No... I looked up the character myself before going to the tattoo parlor.
