i would get a tattoo if i could tattoo the palm with reasonable success.

but apparently it doesnt take very well.

no tattoos and I never want one. for one im jewish and its against the religion, secondly I dont think it looks good anyways.

Most of them tho, some of them actually look cool tho.

I couldnt imagine being like 80 years old and having tattoos across both my arms. I have seen this before at like water parks and shit and its fucking ugly

30 years old. Had an itch to get one in college, but glad I didn't. I'm cool with henna or temp tattoos though - it's cool for the summer, but that's about it.

While I enjoy my tattoos, when I got them they weren't so fucking common place as they are nowadays. I don't regret what I got and WHEN I got them, but it does suck that they are a dime a dozen know (ironically though they are WAY more expensive).

Edit: 35 now. got my 1st when I was 18. Last at 25.

I never understood this mindset people have with anything in life that all the sudden they don't enjoy or like something anymore just because it's popular.

I know a guy that everything is like that. Everything he does he want's to come across as "unique" so he has his Mac's, he listens to non main stream music, he reads obscure books, he loves movies no ones heard of and ever damn time one of those things he loves becomes main stream he can all the sudden no longer enjoy it.

I just don't get it. 😕

he likes to be pretentious.

not tats here, ive thought about a couple, like maybe the family crest, but itd be expensive to get done right and i dont really *care* that much about it. otherwise ive never been able to think of anything i actually want on me permanently.

My father told me only get a tattoo when you find a piece of art you can stare at for the rest of your life.

Never got one. Now I'm the rebel. HA!

There's a "results" button. You don't have to vote to see the results.

I got when I was 18. I do not regret getting my tattoo, but in some ways I do wish I had waited if only because I would have liked to have had it done by a better tattoo artist. There aren't any mistakes, but imperfections that I will always notice even if no one else does. Basically I regret having it done at the particular shop, but it wasn't a disaster by any means. If I could have it removed for free I don't know if I would, and even then I'd probably just have it redone. I'd also consider getting more done in the future and I've been thinking about other tats I'd like for the past ten years. I probably would have gotten more done by now if I had the money to burn through, although since I don't I haven't thought too hard about it.

A friend of mine got the last name of his now ex-wife done. I don't know what he decided on, but I do know he went to price out the laser removal and it was upwards of 1500 bucks. Ouch.

Tats are lame and expensive. They remind me of my dumbest friends from High School getting them when they were 18. What a great way to spend your money

Three tattoos, first one twelve years ago, no regrets.

Over 50% of the adult population has tattoos now? A bit silly to assume rebellion is the only reason to get a tattoo, in any case.

You must know my brother-in-law.

No tats and happy with decision.

This!

Explain the logic here. If it's about the money, well, I'm reasonably certain I can point and laugh at what I would consider your frivolous expenditures. If it's due to some misguided notion of superiority, then you're just being tools.

I just find it ridiculous to "paint" yourself with permanent ink, they just look disgusting. And don't get me started on lower back tattoos -- that's one trend that needs to end now.

It's funny how everyone complains about "ricing up cars" with stickers and shit, but "ricing" up your body is cool 😉

Then again, I also think that fake tits are stupid too...

I find them very interesting and watch those shows like LA and Miami Ink from time to time. Oddly enough though I don't have any nor a desire to get one.

I have 2. The first I got when 20,I am in my mid 30s now. I should regret it because it came from a cartoon (Biker Mice from Mars emblem) but I dont. Reminds me to never take anything to serious. The second is an armband of my own design, I love it, I just wish I would have made it a little thicker.

I am planning on getting a 3rd within the next year or so.

Well, I'm not aware of anyone having attributed performance gains with tattoos 😉
I'll just have to sit here and "point and laugh" at you for what I see as your ignorance 😛

The "pointing and laughing" was in jest, and reserved for those who answered the poll with regrets. I should have clarified.

Have fun 🙂 It's a personal preference. I just find them repulsive. I'm sure there are things that are repulsive to you as well.
