I like the usefulness of a side window. Mainly to see all the fancy hardware and to admire my great wiring job.

But most of the cases that come with a window are so tacky.

I really like the Rocketfish case on sale at Best buy

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ol...60363476#productdetail

but it doesn't come with a side window.

What cases out there are styled like the Rocketfish (lowkey) but come with a side window?

How much do you want to spend? Or buy a Rocketfish and put your own window kit in. Don't care fer winders m'seff. Trade secrets... ;)

Few if any Antec have winders. Their B-stock store used to have some p160Ws and LANBoys left, but I think they have been out of production for some time. Well, I guess the 160 is still being made, but it couldn't really be called "not tacky" . Well all except the vents in the lower front are conservative.

no, compared to the mounds and mounds of crap that's out there, the 160 is still a very humble case

but consider that it has been out of production, that really isn't even a choice to go for new...

I'd go with a Lian Li

FYI - Fry's still carries the P160w. They're instock in San Diego. Expensive for a 5-year old case though.

Favorite cases with windows - TJ09, TJ07, Ultra m998

edit: heh...yeah, the silverstones are expensive for 5-year old cases too. doh!

ironic aint it?

to OP: there is always the option of ordering cases from websites like performance-pcs who will add a window to any case they have in stock.

Yeah, I forgot about the Ultra m998 - has a big winder and is an all-around decent case too. Has been at a good price at CompUSA.com, PCConnection.com and TigerDirect.com - all about the same price incl. shipping. I need a case with a door or it would tempt me.

I'm pretty happy with my Thermaltake Armor. It's not tacky at all, it's very functional yet pleasing to the eye, it's got a nice big side window and a massive fan, like 240mm or something. Only real problem I have is that it's made of all steel so it's a heavy beast.

I'm sure you could find a lian li side panel with a window in it already.

The rocketfish case is a lian li design.

Either that or cut your own window, it's not that hard if you have a jigsaw.

There's an idea, compare the measurements of the rocketfist to cases like the G70 and some of their other full towers, maybe the A71, I bet one of their sidepanels with a window would fit the rocketfish.

Me and you both. One of the best cases I have owned. MASSIVE and no more issues with My video cards not fitting.
